About

fe3d is a multiplatform, OpenGL based 3D visualization tool for network security information. It currently supports insecure.org's nmap XML log files. If you have nmap installed fe3d will be able to act like a 3D front end, that will allow you to scan hosts and networks. In fact the name fe3d comes from FrontEnd3D.

fe3d is brought to you under the GNU GPL License

Current Version

The current version of fe3d is version 0.11.2 (February 2008). This update will build correctly under Unicode, and has a couple of minor visualization fixes.

Since I have been busy working on Siafoo lately I have not had much time to finish up the OSG port of fe3d, however I will try to get to it sometime. Of course you can always contribute some patches too :)

I have not thoroughly read it yet. But from paging through and reading isolated sections, it is a very good survey of data visualization and I would recommend anyone using fe3d to go check out the book and see what real security visualization is like =)
