Reporting Bugs and Unimplemented nmap features

If you find a bug in fe3d, and after looking through the currently active tickets {1} and you don't find the problem there, create a new ticket.

When you generate an nmap scan that isn't visualized correctly, whether some options are unrecognized or the visualization doesn't look right, just file a new ticket and attach any relevant scan files (see ObfuscatingScans).

Submit Sample Scans

When you scan systems using interesting or obscure flags and methods supported by nmap you can help fe3d development by submitting them here SampleScans.

Requesting new features

You can create simple feature requests using the ticket system (above). For more complicated requests discuss them in the news group first. Please be specific, and if you want leave your e-mail in the ticket login box (where it says "anonymous" so I can contact you for more information

An example of a simple feature request (and one that will be in fe3d-0.12) would be: "It would be nice if I could move host nodes into different main nodes."

Feel free to request features like

  • New ways to display data
  • New tools to integrate into fe3d
  • New formats to input

Any ideas will help, but avoid stuff like "fe3d needs more tools", as it is not specific enough to be of any use.

Graphics

  • Create Icons for various OSes / Machines
  • Create 3D models for various hardware / OSes
